A FREE intervention program for out-of-school youth 14- 17 years old who are at-risk for running away, homelessness or being kicked-out of their home.
Youth participate in nationally researched-based PYD programming which includes motivating youth to become successful adults. Youth learn coping skills, life skills (cooking, budgeting), positive peer interaction (anti-gang and anti-bullying strategies), receive educational and employment assistance. Attend field trips, participate in family activities, recreation activities, and obtain counseling, if needed by licensed therapists. Youth also participate in community service projects and become leaders on YPM's youth council as well as referrals are made to help them. A Nutritious Lunch and Snacks are provided. All youth are welcomed and their service to the community is appreciated! |
